The following are a sample of the programs and ministries found at the Palmer Moravian Church. New programs are always starting as needs arise.
HELPING HANDS
The Helping Hands ministry was created to help members of our congregation in times of need. We are prepared to handle many things including, but not limited to, transportation services, meals for those experiencing an illness or hospitalization, visits to shut-ins, and adult or child babysitting during difficult times and more.
Caring and generous volunteers from our congregation have provided meals for members in need, helped elderly members by providing transportation to doctor appointments, hospital testing services, and the grocery store.
MEALS-ON-WHEELS
On the Fourth Thursday of each month, a faithful group of Palmer Moravian volunteers delivers Meals-On
Wheels in the Easton area.. We now have (10) routes. The individuals and couples who deliver have been more than faithful, regardless of the weather. It is greatly appreciated. We are always in need of substitutes. If you are willing to help with Meals-On-Wheels, please contact the church office.

PARISH NURSING MINISTRY
The Parish Nurse program started on June 13, 2004 after many months of preparation. Member health assessment forms and a health promotion classes and support group questionnaire was placed in the bulletin. The health assessment will be placed in a file cabinet and be available if necessary. The questionnaire will assist with the planning order of classes and support groups pertinent to the members of Palmer Moravian Church. The top 2 were stress management and weight control followed by the aging process.
Blood Pressure Sunday is held on th e 3rd Sunday of every month. Monthly the average number is eighteen. Since the screening at least 5 members are now being treated for hypertension. Personalized health cards are available for you to keep a record of your blood pressure as well as emergency information, medication and health history.
Every other month there will be a brief note from the Parish Nurse in the Palmer Moravian newsletter. The notes contain educational material along with health updates on prevention.
I have enjoyed being the Parish Nurse and look forward to serving all the members of Palmer Moravian next year. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to serve you and Our Lord.
Nancy Humes, Parish Nurse
CRADLE ROLL REPORT
This year we had a total number of 16 infants registered for the church cradle roll. The information is sent approximately every 3 months and gives information on the development stages of that age. They continue to receive it until they reach 3 years of age and then are encouraged to join Sunday School.
